I’m excited to announce my new blog series, Women in Words, an interview series to spotlight women who work behind-the-scenes crafting written content for the masses.
Why Women in Words?
A writing career is mainly a solitary endeavor.
It doesn’t matter if someone is drawn to working with words because they love grammar, sales, research, or crafting stellar blog posts.
Pursuing a content creation life can be lonely. And competition is fierce.
There are so many wickedly talented women working in content creation as copywriters, content writers, copy editors, and proofreaders, but rather than see them as competition, I’d prefer to think of them as my sisters-in-arms, fellow lady bosses who I can support, highlight, and learn from their experiences.
And though I’m an introvert, I’m exhausted from working in a vacuum.
I need more solidarity and community.
So, I’m launching Women in Words to shine a spotlight on women unafraid to share their knowledge and life lessons to support their peers and enlighten folks who are clueless about the nuances of what it means to work behind-the-scenes crafting written content for the masses.
I plan to share a weekly interview here to help others get to know a new lady boss wordsmith to appreciate her journey and expertise.
